Ready for What Comes Next, Wherever Life Takes You

Vibrant Health Advocates – Gamma equips school leavers in Perth and Kinross with honest, plain-language mental-wellbeing and life-skills tools — so that when the next chapter begins, they step into it prepared, not overwhelmed.

Perth is a town that shapes you and then, more often than not, sends you somewhere else. Each summer, thousands of young people finish school and face a threshold moment: a college place in Dundee, an apprenticeship in Glasgow, a first flat, a first payslip, a first time navigating the GP register without a parent standing beside them. We were founded because that threshold can be the loneliest place a young person ever stands.

A community that shows up,
and keeps showing up

Perth is a town that shapes you and then, more often than not, sends you somewhere else. Each summer, thousands of young people finish school and face a threshold moment: a college place in Dundee, an apprenticeship in Glasgow, a first flat, a first payslip, a first time navigating the GP register or the benefits system without a parent standing beside them.

Vibrant Health Advocates – Gamma was founded because that threshold can be the loneliest place a young person ever stands. Since our earliest workshops in local secondary schools, we have worked alongside young people aged 15 to 19 to build the mental-wellbeing literacy and practical self-care skills that formal education rarely finds time for.

We do not use jargon, we do not lecture, and we do not pretend that growing up is simple. We sit beside young people, share tools that actually work in a messy real life, and make sure they know where to turn when things get hard — in Perth, and far beyond it.

Tools that work in a messy real life

Three interlocking programmes, each built on evidence and delivered with honesty — because growing up shouldn't feel like navigating unmarked terrain alone.

🧠

Mental Wellbeing Workshops

Our evidence-informed sessions give young people a working vocabulary for their own mental health — stress responses, emotional regulation, when to seek help. These are not one-off talks; they are structured, multi-session programmes built into the school calendar.

Life-Skills That Stick

From registering with an NHS GP in a new city to understanding a tenancy agreement, we cover the practical adult terrain that most curricula skip. Young people leave our workshops knowing how to ask for what they need and how to find it.

Peer Connector Network

Our trained Peer Connectors — young people who have been through our programmes themselves — help bridge the gap between leaving school and settling into adult life. Knowing there is someone a year ahead of you who has navigated the same terrain makes a measurable difference.
